- I started this blog as an American writer living in Spain, teaching English, learning Spanish, and writing poems. It's sort of devolved into random thoughts that are too long to post on Facebook. I'm a reporter who writes about government contracts law and defense budgets. A few of the topics are likely to crop up here are news, poetry, books, the Mets, sandwiches, movies, politics, and military policy.
Yeah, because no effort went into the making of that. It also didn't take me a week and a half to get around to writing. Not at all.
